Trousers Full of Sand
Can you be knackered after a day of nothingness. A day of daydreams and procrastinations. These type of questions rattle around my brain nearly everyday, as I carry with me extra weight. This weight is not always visible to others but to me it’s hard to miss. I move through most days slowly, dragging with me what feels like sand bags attached to my limbs. –This sketch is a direct result of chronic procrastination.– Daily Prompt: Knackered #selfimprovement #procrastination #se

New Beginnings
May is going to be about travel, experiencing new things and creating new beginnings. It has been two years since I have been back to New York and the longing has only grown stronger over the time pasted. I came to Florida to find myself and make it on my own terms. I struggled through love, work and finding my passion. Realizing in the face of everything I thought I wanted I was at a loss for who I really was. Hippie Beach Editorials : Foam Magazine May/June This week I turn

Wasted (32/32)
Laying on my bed. Computer perched on my chest, now closed. I feel sick. I haven’t left the house today. I couldn’t. Waiting all week for this day, my day off. I lay here seeping in regret, for lost time. I had prepared for this. Creating endless lists, both mental and physical. So much to do, so much I didn’t do. It all started last night. When I binge watched endless episodes of the Gilmore Girls after returning home from a dinner out. Falling asleep to the sound of Babette

A Poetic Take (31/32)
A couple of videos I made with Mora Mitchell on our youtube channel TreMora. These videos are about experimentation, expression & poetry. Déjà Vu Poem: Déjà Vu by Lang Leav An expression of friendship. As well as an opportunity for us to experiment with candle light. The Forest Poems: Butterfly by Dean Jackson “What good are wings..” Atticus There is Freedom Waiting For You by Erin Hanson An expressive look at growth and transformation. With behind the scenes footage of a Tre

Step Before You Run (30/32)
So there’s this thing that I have been obsessed with, more than anything else for at least a year now. And that thing would be habits. I’m obsessed with good habits, how to create them, people that have them and how they did it. As well as bad habits. Recognizing mine, criticizing myself, trying to fix them, failing to replace them, the list goes on and on. So of course upon coming across How I Became A Morning Person, Read More Books, And Learned A Language In A Year by Bell

How to Accept A Gift 101 (29/32)
Sharing this little animated short The Present because its message is heart-warming and it made my day the first time I seen it 🙂 ! The creator Jacob Frey deserves every bit of recognition he has received for this piece. Truly Inspired. #johnfrey #Gift #animated #Fashion #short #Film #Inspired #howto #postaday #acceptance

The Emotional Effects of Rain (26/32)
Used in many films to add intensity to a scene whether it be drama or romance. Rain has the ability to stir up emotions in us. Whether it be through the soothing sound of water hitting the ground or the ferocity of crashing thunder. It disrupts the quiet that would otherwise be and makes us feel something new. I personally enjoy a slightly unique relationship with rain. As I live in a place where it rains frequently and unpredictably. I have come to find the sound of a heavy

Apparently I Love this Sweater (25/32)
Relaxed, comfortable and fun. 3 words I try to live by when it comes to fashion/life. Sure sometimes sleek and elegant is good too. But for a lesurly sunday of coffee, writing and window shopping this is my favorite way to go. As you can see I am not afraid of mixing prints or color but the reason for this look was from from that. When I am off work I like my look to reflect so. Which led my eye to this mini polka dot number. However, it’s synched waist, fluffy sleeves and pe

Finding Balance (23/32)
When is it okay to miss out on life stuff for work stuff? When you have your own business, freelance work or personal projects to get done you must be incredibly disciplined in order to get everything completed on time. Especially if you are juggling such projects on top of a full time job or have multiple projects running at one time. In order to keep up you most likely have to forgo time that would otherwise be spent on fun or relaxing. This will look different for everyone

Movies for the Fashion Brained (22/32)
Below is a list of all of the films I believe any fashion loving person should consume. 1-12 are movies I have watched, studied and loved in order from most watched/influential to me to lesser so but still very much inspiring. The additional 5 documentaries are ones I have yet to see but plan on bingeing on in the very near future. I narrowed this list down to just biography’s/documentary films. Unzipped (1995) My favorite fashion film follows Isaac Mizrahi as he designs his

Design and Inspiration (20/32)
Where do clothing designs come from? What is Inspiration? How do you get inspired? How do you turn inspiration into an idea and later a product? None of these questions can be answered with a single all inclusive response. As every designer/artist is influenced and works in different ways. Most designers work off of some form of inspiration. Whether its someone they have met or studied, somewhere they have visited or just a series of photos collected; inspiration is the start

Like Stop Saying “Like” (19/32)
There are many habits that form how we interact with people verbally and non-verbally. Depending on the people we surround are selves with, the media we absorb and how conscience we are about our behavior determines how we communicate and therefore how we are perceived. It is very easy to take on new habits as you spend lots of time in certain social settings or bits of culture. However, when you become aware of bad habits or less professional habits you have picked up it can

My Relationship with Film (14/32)
Film and television have always been a huge part of my life. Not because I am a couch potato although I have been known to stay in bed for days bingeing on a series only to emerge for a caffeine fix. More so, because being a creative person I have looked to this medium as a huge form of inspiration. Finding pleasure in everything from black and white romances of the 50’s to the documentaries that introduced me to exciting artists and amazing music. Appreciating Modern Streami

Taming Your Scattered Brain (13/32)
I have had to come to accept that I am an extremely scattered person. Constantly misplacing things, forgetting why I went somewhere or just finding myself lost inside my own head. I have come to realize there are ups and downs to everything. However, in this case the ability to come up with a never ending stream of ideas/thoughts is about the only benefit I am seeing. Where as the negatives are endless. For example: Getting in the car only 5 minutes late only to realize I for

Flipping It Around (11/32)
Tending to gravitate towards higher necklines I find myself shying away from great tops that scoop or fee, like the three pictured above. However lately I have found an oh so easy solution. Flipping the tops around so that the back scoops low!! All you need to make sure your top looks flawless and no one thinks your wearing it wrong is a seam ripper or a tiny pair of scissors. Once you have your tools slide the point of either tool under the thread holding the tag in place an

Destress: 5 Simple Ways (10/32)
1. Talk it Out Do not let the things people say and do destroy you. If someone bothered you in anyway just simply let them know so that you do not have to carry around the weight of your annoyance while they carry on not knowing why your upset. If your upset about something unrelated to a specific person find someone that you can trust and vent to them. Do not carry on for days, but do let out what is upsetting you so you can move on from it. And if you do not feel comfortabl

Daily Struggles of a Coffee Addict (9/32)
Habit–a settled or regular tendency or practice, especially one that is hard to give up. Addiction–physically and mentally dependent on a particular substance, and unable to stop taking it without incurring adverse effects. What happens when a habit becomes an addiction and then that addiction creates a series of habits. Taking more than just a cup of coffee in the morning to feel refreshed, awake or even satisfied. I crave my morning coffee only until I have a cup and then I

Mixing Prints
The Ease of Not Caring While a mass majority of women struggle to find the perfect shade of teal or pink or whatever solid color they believe best suits their printed bottoms such as these I find it impossible to care that much. Especially when mixing prints looks so much stronger. If I was to pair these printed, pleated, high waisted shorts with a solid color top my upper half would be invisible. Which would be doing such an awesome pair of shorts a disservice. I wish more w
